The Institute of Medical Technology (IfMZ) is a scientific research facility at the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden. As a central interface, the IfMZ connects all university-related activities between research, teaching, and industry in the field of medical technology with a working group of professors, scientists, and engineers. The IfMZ integrates issues from applied medical technology research with the practice-oriented training of highly qualified specialists for the future-oriented segment of medical technology.
The IfMZ's work focuses on the advanced development and further development of diagnostic and therapeutic systems as well as projects in the fields of hygiene, cleanroom technology and microbiology.
