Collecting was our founder's great passion, his great love, entirely without any desire for fame or honor.

To date, the collection comprises a total of around 4,000 exhibits on the themes of animals, plants, hunting, and cultures. These include paintings, carvings, manuscripts, models, and vessels.

The focus of the collection is on the hunting trophies of roe deer and red deer, which Theo himself shot and carefully prepared during his more than 40 years as a hunter and gamekeeper.

The collection is complemented by a photo archive of over 30,000 images of animals and nature, as well as a thematically relevant library. The collection is largely excellently documented by the collector.

As a whole, the collection is one of the largest and most complete of its kind. In particular, the enormous and diverse number of abnormal antlers of roe deer from Central European countries makes it absolutely unique.
